Main character (s): Catherine, her little brother David
Book Theme: it's important to accept people for who they are on the inside
Summary: A 12-year old girl wishes her new next door neighbor would be her best friend, despite the fact her younger brother has autism and causes problems for Catherine. She meets a boy at her brother's rehab and becomes friends with him.
Main Conflict in the book: Catherine has to find a way to accept that her little brother is different and some people will never see him the same way she does.
How do the characters change in the book? Catherine trusts herself at the end of the book, and realizes that no matter what someone looks like on the outside - it's their personality that is important.
Interesting part of the book: I liked all the rules she devised for her little brother. My favorite was "Little brothers with no pants are not my problem."
Would you reccommend this book to someone else - why or why not?
I would because it was both funny and interesting at the same time.
